This workshop at ‘Festival OSTEN’ focussed on materials representing legacies of the past: dust, building rubble, lint and the like. At sites of structural change in Wolfen (east Germany), the participants collected ‘waste’ to rethink it as a material resource from which something new can be create. The workshop thereby touched on artistic and creative research with a focus on the sensory and emotional experience of collecting.
