Wearing Justice

Wearing Justice

As designers and investigators we see ourselves as instigators who have set it as their goal to draw attention to the inequalities and irregularities within and outside the courtroom of the International Criminal Court. In the initial steps, it was about the pure visualization of what we could observe and find out. Drawings became the base for what would follow. We became more and more aware that as designers we have the opportunity to do more than just attract attention. Wearing Justice shows products that enable internal and external ICC observers to experience and feel the inequality/equality within the judicial system of the Criminal Court. The wearable objects serve their purpose without further explanation, they are making tangible what we have found through our interviews and investigations: the inequality between arms within the court.
